My Little Picasso

Look at this big girl swinging!!
Her imagination is really taking off. She loves telling stories (even though I don't think she realizes what she's doing) I could listen to her all day!
We also have a little Picasso on our hands. She loves drawing and coloring. She will surprise me with things she knows. Last night she showed me that she can draw squares, triangles, rectangles and some of her letters. She also drew and apple, a smiley face, a tree and a rainbow. I was FLOORED. As much as we draw and do things...had no clue she knew all of this!
So we busted out the chalk...I may need Mallory to teach me how to draw...this was my attempt at Minnie Mouse....with Mallory help of course!
I had Mallory lay down and traced her body...she wanted me to draw her sweater and pants.
What do you think....look like her?
She thinks it does....
Satisfied customer.....

P.S. Is it here? Is it really here? Please stay SPRING!!!

The Week of "Firsts"

I allowed Mallory to watch Looney Tunes. Personally, not a fan of this cartoon as I feel like beating someone over the head and laughing isn't quite appropriate but I figured I watched it when I was younger and I turned out okay so I would let her watch one....THIS WAS HER REACTION!
Belly laughing...not sure if this is a good sign or a bad one...

A friend's dad builds snow sculptures...and he built Olaf. So I took Mallory to go check him out.
She LOVED it....said He Was Magic!!
Couldn't touch him or he would loose his magic...

She asked where Anna and Elsa were...I replied with the most logical answer...they weren't there yet as they were coming from North Mountain...think I nailed that answer.
She also received her first hair cut.
She did SOOO well! She sat so still!
 She was a bit excited!
 Cutie pie!
 Sitting still....
Was told to look down....cracks me up.
I love the look on her face on this one...she thought she was so cool!

Caught checking herself out in the mirror....lol!

Looks good mom....She would flip her hair around and say, "like my hair, I got it cut."
Then this happened.....a couple weeks ago Mallory said to me, "Mom, you be the baby and I'll be the mommy." I said, "Why is that Mallory?" And she replied, "I'll sleep in your big bed and you sleep in my little bed." Oh I see where this is going....She of course didn't convince me but she did convince her grandma Iya and daddy. So this is her "big girl" bed. Sad to think that this will probably be her bed till she moves out. (insert tear...or multiple tears.)
Turned out super cute and she is doing great getting up in it and out...she is sleeping in it now as I type. Where oh where has my little girl gone?
Uncle Matt flew in on his airplane for a quick weekend visit. So Mallory got to go on a special trip out to the airport to see his plane.

What's up mom...no biggie....just getting ready to climb into an airplane...

She enjoyed "flying" the plane...she would move the steering wheel back and forth...

 Waving bye....

See you next time Uncle Matt!
So cool!! She must have liked him flying as when she was taking a nap today she was "flying" Dora around and I said, "what are you doing?" She replied, "Just flying like Uncle Matt."
This was Mallory's reaction of seeing her bed for the first time.
Think she likes it at all?
Such a happy kid...thanks Iya & Papa Dane!!!
