Weekend Review

Mallory did fantastic at her first parade. It seemed like the worst part was waiting for it to start and she didn't even cry then. It was so warm and was nervous that she would get sun burnt so I had a light blanket over her stroller as we walked so she wouldn't get any sun. It was sooo crowded. I know I'm weird but it really freaked me out and gave me high anxiety as we walked. I just felt claustrophobic and very anxious as the crowd was closing in on the street. No joke, you barely had any room to walk the street. YIKES! Thinks this girl is going to have to stick with the smaller parades! lol!
Afterwards, it was such a nice day that we sat outside Mulligans on their patio and had lunch. Of course, we sat in the shade but low and behold little miss got burnt anyways. Not much-but still enough to make me feel horrible and like a terrible mother. But she was so good! We then headed back home to my parents to visit with them and my best friend from high school Cheryl Lynn. I got Mallory to sleep and for sure thought she would wake quite a few times since she wasn't in her bed and in a different place. Nope! That sweet little angel slept the entire night there too! FANTASTIC!!!
So it allowed mommy to enjoy some quality time with Cheryl and her sister Jenny which I truly enjoyed but of course missed Mallory so went home early.
We then went to church the next day with my oldest sister and family and hung out at her place afterwards. Then we went to my grandmothers house for the first time to visit with my aunts and uncles. They all loved on Mallory and again...she was an angel.
Tonight I had my M.O.P.S. meeting (faith based mothers group). Mick stayed home with Mallory. I reminded him of our "schedule" and off I went. I was a little nervous but they did perfect! He got her bath and pjs on, fed her and when I came home I found the cutest thing ever. They were all snuggled up on the recliner snuggling and she was drifting off to sleep. A perfect night! Its so nice to know that I'm able to leave for a little bit and get some alone time knowing Mick can handle things at home. I'm blessed to have not only a good baby but a wonderful husband that's willing to allow me that time and do such a good job with Mallory.
So hope everyone enjoys this week and gets outside!
