ALOT IN ONE POST!

Well, alot has happened in the last few weeks that I do not even know where to start.
Mallory had her appointment with Dr. McKenna (who was awesome) and so sad that he is leaving. All good news! No surgery and unless she gets an infection we will not to be seen again until she's a year old! She does however have to be on medication daily until further notice. But I'll take it! It was wonderful news!
She is growing so and learning so much! She has mastered rolling over! It has been such fun watching her over the last few weeks getting closer and closer. She would get half way over, get stuck, her arm would get in the way....then poof! She rolled...and rolled...and rolled....and rolled. Its our new game we play....Mallory rolls over, mommy rolls her back, Mallory rolls over, mommy rolls her back! It really occupies our time!
She has also started cereal, which the first time was a disaster. But that was my fault. I thought that it would be a good idea to feed her cereal for the first time when she was starving! Not a good idea as you can tell in the pictures below! But we tried again and she loved it! So we have been on cereal for one meal, every other day for over a week now and things are going great!
She loves laying on her play mat and playing with all the toys and most recently loves her jumper! We tried it over the weekend and she loved it. Doesn't quite get the concept that she can make herself bounce but when we help her she just laughs! Nothing like her cousin Lane...she's a little more timid and gentle with her bouncing. lol!
She was baptized last weekend and it was seriously the most precious thing ever. I know it sounds crazy but it was really like she and God were connecting, like she could see him. I feel like I'm off my rocker but it was seriously a God moment and very peaceful. She is usually good in church but she was exceptionally good that morning. Not squirmy, fussy...just peaceful. She kept looking up to the heavens when the actual baptism was happening. And then softly fell asleep. Pastor Jean then took her and walked her around the church while the members softly sang Jesus Loves You. It took all I had not to break down and sob! It was so precious and she looked angelic and beautiful! Hate to see what I will be like on her wedding day!
This past weekend we had the most calming and relaxing weekend in such a long time. We had NO plans and it was rainy and cold. So Mallory and I just snuggled. It was like she knew that momma needed this as she was so good. She would just snuggle up with me and look around, we took lots of naps together and basically did nothing but snuggle and play. I had quite the list of things to get down but for once I did not care and just let it all go and literally spent the entire weekend with her. It was just perfect and eased the stress in my life as I was feeling quite refreshed this morning. I love how one single person can bring my heart such joy. I am so content with my life and family.
The weekend of Mallory's baptism Aunt Lori, Uncle Mike and Collin came to stay with us. They helped us get things ready for Mallory's party after church. Low and behold---anything and everything that could go wrong....did! So it was great that they were there to help. Saturday was crazy. We were to get into the church so we woke up early and starting cooking all the food...loaded it up and headed to town. Well, the church wasn't open and no one was there to let us in. Our wires got crossed somewhere...so we went back home and unloaded everything. About five minutes later, the church called and said that someone was now there so we could get in but only for an hour. So we hurried and loaded everything back up and went back to church. We did get things set up which really helped. So thanks to Pastor Jean for that! As we were headed back home, Mick calls me pretty frantic and asked how close I was. I luckily was right down the road.....well, our neighbor dog once again attacked our little Roxie. I was so upset. So I quickly called the vet but he was out of town so we had to load up and head to Springfield to the animal hospital. I was just sick. Roxie was in so much pain and I was FURIOUS with the neighbor. This is the second time that their mean dog has come into our yard and attacked one of our dogs. He saw it too and just took off down to his house and didn't say word. We can't even walk down the road because the dogs attack us, the other neighbor has been bitten by the dog. They are just awful and he's just not very nice. So no cooking for the party that night...Lori and I headed to Springfield. She ended up being okay after being put under and many stitches later. (and dollars) They figured she was attacked by two dogs. So on the way there...I was fuming and gave in and called the sheriffs department and they called animal control. So needless to say, the neighbor got a visit the next morning and guess what....HE LIED!!! He told them that they were his cattle dogs. WHAT?!?! He has no cattle....there are no cows anywhere around our house!!! I do not understand why people lie! Anyways, we get Roxie home several hours later and poor thing couldn't lay down but was so tired that she literally fell over standing from exhaustion. It was so sad! So Mick cuddled her up downstairs while I stayed upstairs with Mallory. Then two days later...guess who was back in our yard! Yep, the neighbor dog!! So I called again. This time they refused to answer the door! I feel like a psycho about it all but it has seriously cost us over $1000 in vet bills and I REFUSE to let the issue go and something happen to Mallory! I WILL put a stop to it before she is old enough to play in the yard! So I guess bring on the battle because I'm ready to fight!
So in a nutshell....that's been our lives the last few weeks.
