It's the simple things in life....isn't that what they say? I couldn't tell you how many times in my life I have heard this expression. I have not truly understood the meaning until having a child. When you think your day is horrible, it's freezing cold outside, you get yourself worked up over such little things....it's nice to have a child to pull things into perspective. I feel like it's my job to teach her the ways of the world, to teach her right from wrong, to teach her numbers and letters but in reality she is teaching me....Tonight the lesson was mirrors and shadows. That those are two really cool things that normally I do not always like the image that comes from either of these two things...Tonight I loved the image that came from both. And I learned how exciting these two things can be when experiencing them for the first time and with the right people. (Although neither of these were first for Mallory....) She just realized what a mirror and shadow can really do and how fun both can be.
Lesson Review: Look at objects, people, things like it's the first (or last) time. Instead of seeing things so negatively, find the positive even if it's something you've seen or done a thousand times.
Seriously, pure excitement that there were 3 of her....She even had to go down and get daddy to show him....just in case he hasn't noticed this before either!
Little hand....
Big hand (insert tons of giggles....)
