Frozen 2

Frozen 2....like literally round two. Mallory loved Frozen. We watched it a million times. Guess who loves it now. Morgan. And we've watched it a million times. Can't wait for Frozen 2 to come out on dvd so we have something new to watch. So we took Morgan to her first movie theater experience to see Frozen 2. (obviously). It was a whole family affair with Mick and even aunt Dana. She did pretty well....Morgan...not Aunt Dana although she did good too. There were a view times that I think Morgan was either bored or scared of falling asleep so she got up and walked around a bit and lap jumped but the new theater in South Jax made it that it was okay for to do so without disturbing others. It was such a cute movie and I loved it. I don't know if it's just the season of life I am in right now or what but I thought it was wonderful and cried on multiple occasions.
Waiting to get into the theater and she's scarfing down some popcorn
She's so excited. Has her Frozen blanket, popcorn, candy, Frozen shirt, Frozen bow, Frozen characters....She's Ready!
Right before leaving....Morgan stepped on my glasses and broke them right down the middle.
We had a good laugh!
Oh Snap!
These two!
Popcorn may be gone before the movie starts. We LOVED the new theater.
Making sure she does whatever sissy does.
Happy girl

Girls Trip 2019-Kansas City

Girls Trip 2019-Kansas City, MO or Kansas City, KS. They run into each other so who knows which one we were actually in. (kidding...I knew but the others probably didn't).
I absolutely love this trip each year and love even more how much my mom loves it. So many memories and places visited that we wouldn't have otherwise.
We did the escape room. MUCH harder than we anticipated and we should have listened to Dana.
We failed....
So we went off the beaten path and went to Kansas City Joe's BBQ. When we pulled up and saw it was an old gas station...like literally you could get gas there AND that the lined went outside...we questioned ourselves BUT the best decision. It was so good and great experience. Worth the wait.
The ladies waiting in line!

This city had such beautiful fountains.
And architecture

At the Chicken & Pickle...which was also super fun place where you can play outdoor games like pickle ball, bags, checkers, etc.

The FOREVER long wait at Cheesecake factory.
A restaurant we were going to eat at but decided against once we got there and sat down. They had this room full of pictures of the pope. Super creepy but interesting.
Segway tour through the city was so fun!

Trying to find the wall murals was a pain. We thought there should have been angel wings but apparently they painted over them with this. Also fitting so that's cool.
The library..we were trying to find the real library with these massive books outside but we found this cute little thing first.
This is probably one of my top favorite pictures of my mother.
And me.
The huge books. So cool
My lesson in segway...much harder at first than I anticipated. It's not a zero turn lawn mower.
But once we got the hang of it...we loved it and would so do it again.
Getting ready to ride the segways
Literally....Chicken and a pickle
Back at the Chicken & Pickle playing bags.

The best memories were of mom on the segway. She was a serious rockstar and was absolutely impressed with her segway skills.

So I Did This Thing....

So I've been doing this thing...kind of fun but kind of crazy. It's called RUNNING! I know....it's weird. I have always somewhat enjoyed running but never really got into until recently. I would run here and there for exercise but nothing of a commitment and sure as heck not very far. Couple times a month....on my good months. ;) BUT I have always wanted to run the Turkey Trot in Quincy on Thanksgiving morning (and Bridge The Gap but that's another story). So if there was one thing I learned in 2019, it's that you aren't promised a tomorrow and that if I want to do something...I should do it (well within reason;). It was their 40th year, had some decent shirts so I thought...LET'S DO THIS! So I signed up....alone. If I do something, I like to do it. Like all the way. So no walking...we were going to run this baby! So Mick kindly declined as did everyone else I knew. But it was probably best...then no one would have to wait for me. (ha).
So I started running multiple times a week...oh....about a 2.5 weeks before Thanksgiving. On top of that I have been struggling with some feet issues and some pain there and wasn't quite sure what was going on but what else do you do when your feet hurt....you RUN on them...in a 5K! (Please do not ever take health advise from me...like EVER.)
So I drive to Quincy, pull up the night before to get my packet. Mind you...I have never ran a race in my life. Well, in high school...around a track and the furthest I ran was 400m! I pull into the parking lot and look at the race map....say what!?!? You end this sucker with a hill. Nobody told me that. Nobody also told me that there are like a gazillion people that do this! But I was this far---I was going to push through. I woke up the next morning and set out. 32 degrees. Early in the morning. I don't do cold and I don't do mornings. And I typically don't do running. I had officially lost my mind.
Ya'll I ran that sucker the fastest I had ever ran 3.1 miles in my life. My 32 minutes probably seems like nothing to most of you but my goal was 34 minutes so I felt like I won the whole dang thing! Yes, I am patting myself quite hard on the back. I was proud. So guess what....I'm going to do it again!........
AFTER, I get my feet fixed.
Up ENTIRELY way too early for this!!
I ran for my cousin. I ran for my aunt & uncle. I ran for the rest of my family.
Sometimes when you are going through something difficult, it's a nice reminder that some people have it harder, some people are struggling harder than just trying to finish a 5K.
Think of others and always be kind.
See the girl in black...standing next to a girl in purple...in the upper right corner, freezing her butt off.
Yep, that's me! I made the news!
Side Note: This gentleman graduated with me...he really did make the news! ;)
The night before.....should have worn this hat
The hill and the finish. Seriously....who does a race with a hill at the finish.
Loved seeing all the families do this together. What a great memory for them.
Who knows....maybe next year Mick will run with me?!?!
(don't hold your breath)

School Pictures

So daycare pictures are always fun. Mallory was always so easy and although she may not have smiled when she was younger, she for sure never cried. She always had some nice pictures to choose from. Morgan on the other hand...well...we take what we can get. The first set of pictures she had done, she literally bite a hole in the Styrofoam apple they had. The second set of pictures are below...

You guys-here are this year's pictures! I would chalk it up as a success!! Even though I was told she literally growled at the photographer!!! Who's raising this kid anyways? ;)

 GOOF BALL
Mallory literally almost had her in a headlock at one point. lol!
So thankful for this spitfire AND for this picture and this smile!
Yes, she refused to wear shoes.
**This shirt was made by my Aunt Julia when Mallory was little. Mallory wore it in her daycare picture as well. LOVE that they both got to wear such a special shirt.**
 Nailed it!
 Mallory....nailing her pictures like always.
 THANKFUL!!
 Love this kid!
 Nope....not going to smile!
Waiting for it all to be over! LOL!
