We Have A Second Child....

So...we have a second child...she is a girl...her name is Morgan...she is amazing AND her mom has NOT done a good job sharing pictures and blogs on her beautiful first year of life. Soooo....we shall try again...lol!

She is 18 months old! She is stubborn, wild and funny yet can be shy, sweet and so tender. She has a love hate relationship (but mostly love) with her sister. She is currently loves Elmo, Mimmie (Minnie Mouse), baby dolls, ABC song (still)& If You're Happy And You Know It song, MARKERS (eek) and anything her sister has. She is in the hiding phase...typically to go to the bathroom, which her older sister also did but also to hide from her sister, mom and dad so they don't take away whatever it is she has...that she is not suppose to. She tells us when she pees and poops in her diaper...."pee, pee" or "stinky" or "yucky". But hasn't quite mastered telling us BEFORE she goes...its during or after. But that's pretty good for her age. She sleeps all night (typically, unless she's not feeling well) but fights it like crazy during the day. So, for mom during the week...that's good...daycare has to deal with that...but weekends...that's another story. ;) Speaking of daycare....she is at Our Redeemer with her sister and we just LOVE the classroom she is in. She has Ms. Rhonda and Mr. Dennis and she just loves them both. At times, she doesn't want to go home with me and will just hug onto Dennis. Ms. Lilly is also in there quite a bit. We are so blessed to have these teachers at this stage of Morgan's life. She gets spoiled. She has a BFF in that room as well. Miss Aspen. They have been together since they were newborns and love seeing their relationship blossom. Ornery little girls but love them so much. Morgan's vocabulary has really taken off especially this last week or so. She's putting more and more words together and saying new things. Would have to say that her favorite word is probably NOOOO!!! (wonder why? ;)
She was a unicorn with her sister for Halloween and had a great time. Loved eating at Thanksgiving. And LOVES Santa....from a distance. She can say Santa and really likes the inflatable Santa we have outside the Santa ornaments, the Santa picture BUT DO NOT make her sit on Santa's lap. She doesn't like that...at all.
She can run faster than a cheetah when she has something she isn't suppose to have. She can give you a million different looks, glares, frowns but when she smiles....awww....my heart.
It wasn't like we had "a missing piece" to our family. We were good before but man, she sure brings it all together. She brings so many laughs and smiles to all of us but especially to Mallory. I know my relationships with my sisters are awesome so I can't wait to watch their relationship build through the years and hopefully they will form a bond that only sisters can have. When she wraps her little arms around my neck and gives me a squeeze.... my day is made. I was read somewhere that if a child needs a hug, to never be the first one to pull away. To hold on until they are ready to let go....I always think of this every time I get a hug from a kid but especially my kiddos. She will just hang on for what seems like forever and she just keeps hugging. I love her hugs. Or when she will pat my back. She sure completes our family.

Now...her older sister, Mallory. She is 7!!! (today actually but will post about that later) I know...I know...SEVEN!!! She is a HOOT! She is so smart and witty. She knows weird facts about weird things, which she gets from her dad. I have to check google to see if things she is telling me is actually true and nine times out of ten...she is right. Example: Mom, did you know that the male seahorse is the one that has babies and they have like 2,000 babies at once! Or Mom, did you know that Jupiter is the gas giant. Ummm....okay...no, didn't know that and how is that you are smarter than your mom?!?!? 😏 And....she likes math! (not sure she's my daughter because I hate math). She loves to read and is so good at it. She's just a great kid. She is into Barbies, Shopkins, LOL Dolls. She LOVES art...she is a very good artist. My goal this winter/spring is to start teaching her how to play the piano. (pray for me and my ears). She loves being at North. She has been blessed with some wonderful teachers and a GREAT classroom full of great kiddos. She still plays soccer and loves it as well as tumbling/dance at Steven's. I am hoping to find some places she can play volleyball as she attended a camp this summer and fell in love with it. (now THAT'S my daughter). She is in that sassy stage so we have to do a few "check yourself moments" here lately. But her heart is still in the right place. Sometimes she just thinks she's 13 and not 7!!! Time already goes by too fast...so skipping a few years is NOT ALLOWED!

So there's all that....hoping the posts will be more frequent and detailed as time goes on especially with Mallory's birthday and Christmas!

These pics are just for blogging purposes to reflect on later. And a recap of some moments we have shared over the year of not blogging....I will maybe one day blog about Morgan's birth. It was quite the story...lol! So enjoy the million pics I'm about to post.....

Mick and I received tickets to Monday Night Football at Lambeu Field! AMAZING....and COLD!! Mick became a cheese head for a night. Then the "hotel" we stayed at on the lake and of course the cheese factory in the middle of no where that we had to find. :)
