So Mallory has been learning some new princess's. She has found a new love for Snow White. When we read the book, its funny as she points to Grumpy the dwarf and says, "daddy." But then shortly makes up for it by saying "daddy" at the prince too.
I walked into daycare the other day and this was her...
My little Snow White princess.
We like to Facetime with Grandma Iya & Papa Dane (Mick's mom & Dad). Mallory unfortunately had been in the habit of not talking much to them when they call lately. The other night...she was on fire. She was being so silly and talking and playing. She even counted for us and send a few of her ABC's. She was in her room and ended up with three hats on (that did not fit her), a Dora swimsuit, two bibs and a swimsuit as her purse. And she asked to wear it to daycare...I don't think so!
She also has been wanting to sleep in daddy's crib (aka: bed). So this is where we found her the other day. It wasn't even bed time. Guess maybe she was tired. lol!
We also had Mallory's check up in St. Louis on Thursday. She was sooo good. We got there too early so we just hung out in the hospital for a bit before our appointment. She saw one of the wagons and thought she needed a ride. She was just laughing. She got to meet "Wally" who is the therapy dog and she loved. It was such a good dog and such a nice lady. She got a "card" with his name and everything on it and kept saying, "My Wally".
She also saw a photo on the wall and said, "Mallory, that's me mommy." Funny enough...it did sort of look like her. lol!
I have also got a good tip from my sister by explaining things to Mallory. Try to prep her for what is to come. I have had such good luck with this. So I was trying to explain to Mallory that the doctor was going to be looking at her belly and putting things on it and "tickling her belly." I was prepping for a day or two in hopes that she wouldn't be as scared and know what was to happen.
Plan worked...we got in there and she laid down on the table. They have tvs for the patient to watch and so she was watching that and I look down and she pulled her shirt up and was just waiting patiently. I asked Mick he did it for her and he said no. She said...tummy. It was so cute. She was so good. No squirming, moving...the perfect patient the lady said. So of course...she got rewarded with Cinderella & Snow White stickers. And too boot...if she keeps looking good...last year will be our last year to go back!! Yippie! I can not say enough good things about St. Louis Children's hospital. It is truly a top of the class hospital and always so impressed. Each time we go back...I have to say...they just keep getting better and better.
Have a good weekend & stay warm!
