Mallory had her Christmas party at daycare and every year Santa comes to visit with the kids...if you recall last year....she did well....stood between his legs and very shyly talked with him but would not sit on his lap. We had the discussion this year and the first go around was not what I would have hoped BUT she redeemed herself. I didn't get to attend until late due to work so she was patiently waiting for me. I opened the door and off she ran...straight onto his lap...and she told him that she wanted a bicycle, a Barbie and candy. Then she proceeded to tell him that she was on the nice list and gave him a big hug.It was so cute. I know that the meaning of Christmas is the birth of Jesus but I can not tell you how much it melts my heart to see my child enjoy the "magic" the season entails.
Here are a few of the fun things she has said this holiday season:
1.) Mom...you aren't being good. You have to be good or Santa will not come.
2.) I told Mallory maybe we would see Santa flying in the sky. She looked out the window and said, "Nope, probably not. It's too cloudy today."
3.) Santa likes chocolate milk...not regular milk.
4) Jesus is a baby and God is really really big!
5.) We were discussing what she would like for Christmas and she said, "Um, mom...what do you want for Christmas? I'll buy it?" (insert big sigh and swelling of the heart)
6.) The soft hum of a mixture of Jingle Bells, Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer and Santa Clause Is Coming To Town...it sure makes a nice jingle!

Well, hey there big guy....
So excited.....
I believe this is where she told him that she was on the nice list...
Listening to what all he has to say...
She looks SOOO big sitting on his lap...
Good thing she told him she was on the nice list because looking at the grin...you'd think otherwise...
Sweet lovings....
This look says...."Did I just do that?"
She went back to her room and when we went to leave...poof...there he was....She says..."Yeah, mom...he's magic."
You're right baby girl...he is magic!
